Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/ Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision in our Georgia facilities. The role emphasizes adherence to established guidelines and standards while coordinating closely with physicians, APPs, and registered nurses.

The position requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program, with GED/HS diploma preferred and relevant clinical experience considered where education is not available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN in accordance with guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required or

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
