Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician, APP, or RN, following established guidelines. The role requires completing an accredited MA program or Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent experience in lieu of formal education, plus BCLS certification and CMA or NCMA certification.

Experience requirements vary; education paths include GED with related clinical experience.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) required

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required or
• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
