Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician, APP, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and either graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or one year of related clinical experience. BCLS and CMA/NCMA certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• One year medical assistant or related clinical experience may substitute formal education.
• BCLS certification required and CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certifications required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN.
• Follow established guidelines and standards in patient care.

One year medical assistant experience (in lieu of formal education)

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required or
• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
