AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support AHMG Pediatric Dermatology. You will assist in procedures, document care, obtain vitals, and communicate with patients under physician guidance.

Required CMA certification and BLS, High School diploma or equivalent, and strong documentation skills. The role is on-site in a full-time daytime schedule with opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to perform procedures and treatments.
• Documents all patient interactions and medical procedures accurately.
• Obtains patient vitals and reason for visit.
• Provides patient care in the clinic under provider guidance.
• Documents visits and procedures by physicians and family practice providers, including patient history and exams.
• Records physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions.
• Prepares referral letters as directed by the physician.
• Ensures accuracy of medical documentation to reduce errors.
• Maintains clinical data, lab results, and interpretations in the medical record.
• Collects, organizes, and catalogs data for quality reporting and improvement.
• Assists in developing systems to track patient follow-up and compliance.
• Provides patient education on risks and benefits.
