Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in a day-shift with weekend availability. The role requires proficiency in patient intake, vital signs, medication reconciliation, documentation, and coordinating with the care team.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS/medical assisting certification, and experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Travel may be required to fulfill staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required).
• 1+ year of related work experience (Preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Medical Assistant certification(s) required.
• Health care knowledge and terminology essential.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Travel as needed to support clinic operations.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment; document results.
• Maintain OSHA and safety processes; ensure office compliance.
• Provide comprehensive care during visits including intake, tests, and care gaps.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information.
• Assist patients, visitors and coworkers to support teamwork.
• Perform clinical intake including history, vitals, medication reconciliation.
• Support with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate patients on tests, meds and diet.
