Job summary

JMA Pediatrics - Jeffers, Mann & Artman in Holly Springs, NC is seeking a part-time CMA or RMA Medical Assistant (Wednesday to Friday) to join our team. You will manage intake, vitals, data collection, and assist providers during examinations and procedures.

Responsibilities include administering vaccines, collecting specimens, performing phlebotomy, and supporting patient education with after-visit summaries.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification required.
• Proficient in medical administrative support and patient care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EHR systems and vital sign monitoring.
• Basic life support certification.
• Experience in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the intake process: record vitals, height, weight, vision, and hearing.
• Gather patient and family data including medical and social history.
• Review current medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
• Assist the provider during treatments, examinations and procedures.
• Administer vaccinations under provider direction.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and run basic lab tests.
• Review records to determine care needs and provide after-visit instructions.

About this position

JMA is currently hiring for a part-time Medical Assistant CMA or Registered Medical Assistant RMA (Wednesday - Friday) to join our team!Responsibilities:By joining our fantastic team of providers and support staff, the CMA - RMA will

• *Utilize their medical assistant skills with the following clinical responsibilities:*Manage the intake process; consisting of taking and recording of vital signs, height, weight, vision, hearing, and data related to the patient's visit.
• *Gather patient and family data, including medical and social history.
• *Review patient's current medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy.
• *Assist the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures.
• *Administer vaccinations under the direction of a provider.
• *Collect specimens, performs phlebotomy, and perform basic lab testing.
• *Review the patient record to determine current and potential care needs.
• *Provide patient with after-visit summary, follow-up care or procedural instructions and/or educational materials as directed by provider.

Opportunities to expand Medical Assistant CMA - RMA skills:*Coordination of specialty programs - Vaccine Inventory Coordinator, Population *Health Specialist, and other opportunities for continued growth.
