Job summary

Children's Hospital of Richmond seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for the Pediatric Primary Care Clinic. The CMA delivers age-appropriate patient care under physician supervision in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

Qualified candidates hold CMA certification, AHA BLS, and high school diploma; graduate MA program graduates welcome. Hours include days, with weekend/holiday rotation as needed. Proficiency with computers and EMR is expected.

Qualifications

• Current CMA certification through a recognized national association.
• AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent.
• 1 year MA experience within last 3 years if not a graduate of a MA program; none if graduate.
• Experience with computers and MS Office, email, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific patient care under physician direction.
• Carry out plans of care and patient management tasks.
• Handle, transport, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies as needed.
• Work all three shifts, including weekends and holidays; shift rotation may be adjusted.
