SEPTA in Pennsylvania seeks a Medical Technician (6107) to perform drug testing, pre-employment exams, and related laboratory work under the Lab Manager. You will handle specimen collection, chain-of-custody, breathalyzer operation, and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with OSHA and federal standards.

The ideal candidate is a CMA with an associate degree and 3–5 years outpatient experience, plus CPR certification.

Qualificações

• CMA certification is required
• Associate degree in Medical or Science related field required
• 3–5 years outpatient experience required
• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience in a doctor’s office or clinical setting
• Within six months, obtain audiometric and spirometry technician certifications and breath analyzer certification
• CPR certification required
• Familiarity with Authority policies and procedures

Responsabilidades

• Performs laboratory tests for intoxicants and controlled substances with proper chain-of-custody
• Administers, calibrates and maintains breathalyzer
• Inspects specimens for warmth, color and contaminants; documents findings
• Performs pre-employment tests (urinalysis, venipuncture, saliva, etc.) and related analyses
• Conducts audiometry, vision testing and spirometry; records results
• Receives and processes requests for first-aid supplies and supports medical evaluations
• Performs off-site tests at hospitals and SEPTA locations
• Maintains safety, cleanliness and compliance with OSHA regulations
