Position Summary:
PHD is seeking a skilled CMA Cell employee to machine, assemble, and test high-quality automation products at our Fort Wayne, Indiana, manufacturing facility. This position requires proficiency in machining equipment, precision measuring instruments, blueprint interpretation, and product assembly. The ideal candidate is committed to safety, continuous learning, and producing quality products that meet PHD's high standards.
This position is currently scheduled for 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with future shift assignments subject to the seniority provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.

This position also provides a defined wage progression, with multiple pay increases available during the first 18 months based on successful completion of required certifications. Upon completion of all required training, employees currently earn $28.31 per hour, followed by 2% annual contractual wage increases each October through 2028.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to production equipment, moving machinery, noise, metal chips, lubricants, and other manufacturing conditions. The position requires regular use of production equipment and computers to access job‑related databases. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
This position requires frequent standing and walking throughout the workday, along with repetitive use of the hands, wrists, and arms to operate machinery, handle materials, and assemble products. The role requires manual dexterity, the ability to use precision measuring instruments, and good visual ability to inspect parts, read blueprints, and verify product quality. Employees must be able to safely perform the physical demands associated with operating production equipment and handling materials throughout their shift.
