Overview

CMA / LPN - Surgical Specialty Float. This full-time position in the Green Bay area offers 40 hours per week, with shifts varying based on departmental needs. The role supports audiology, breast surgery, ENT, eye care, dermatology, general and colorectal surgery, GI, urology, and plastic surgery. The position involves pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and carrying out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. The role helps the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient\'s visit.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families within the scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Education

Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN work experience or completion of student clinical rotations.
• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (preferred).
• Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions.
