Job Summary

This position is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient\'s visit.

What you will do

Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds. Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts. Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification. Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Education Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.

Required Experience Qualifications

Required Experience Qualifications Minimum Of 160 Hours Of Direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN Work Experience Or Completion Of Student Clinical Rotations.
