Job summary

Prevea Health is hiring a CMA/LPN in Orthopedics at the Green Bay clinic. This full-time role (32 hours per week) combines pre-visit planning, patient rooming, and in-office procedures, under supervision of a medical provider.

The successful candidate will assist with diagnosing and patient care, manage immunizations, vital signs, and chart preparation. The position requires graduation from an approved Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing program and direct patient care experience.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit.

What you will do

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.


• Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.


• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.


• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.


• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.


• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Education

Graduate Of An Approved Medical Assistant Program Or Practical Nursing program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN work experience or completion of student clinical Rotations.

Preferred

• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.


• Preferred Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care.


• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.


• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
