Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a clinic setting under physician supervision. You will assist during visits, perform essential clerical duties, and support diagnostic procedures while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include patient prep, EKGs, venipuncture, injections, and education under supervision. A High School Diploma is required, with preference for a Medical Assistant diploma or related technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assists patients throughout the visit and accompanies them to the exam room.
• Performs clerical activities related to patient care such as scheduling appointments and prior authorizations.
• Performs EKGs, venipuncture, and prepares specimens for lab analysis.
• Prepares and cleans exam/procedure rooms and maintains infection control.
• Administers medications and immunizations under physician direction.
