Job summary

KARE is seeking compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) professionals in Virginia to support residents with medication administration, daily living activities, and safety oversight within senior living communities.

Qualifications

• Requires CMA license.
• Able to lift at least 51 lbs and assist residents.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following community and regulatory guidelines.
• Report changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors.
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents and observations.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Maintain a safe working environment and professional demeanor.
