Job summary

Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, KS is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our Nursing team. This role administers medications, monitors residents, and supports a safe, compassionate care environment on a flexible FT/PT schedule.

The CMA collaborates with nurses and other staff to ensure accurate documentation, adheres to regulatory guidelines, and provides respectful assistance to residents and families. Training and a supportive facility culture are included.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional healthcare coursework is a plus.
• Experience: Healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Certifications: Current CMA certification required by Kansas regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications per orders and keep accurate documentation.
• Monitor residents for health changes and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean and organized medication storage and comply with infection control policies.
• Provide compassionate, respectful assistance to residents and families.
• Coordinate care with nurses, doctors and other staff.
• Complete all required documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
