Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate daily care to our residents. You will work under licensed nursing staff to ensure medications are administered correctly and residents are monitored with dignity.

The role emphasizes resident safety, collaboration with the nursing team, and maintaining detailed documentation in line with state regulations and Americare policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a CMA program that meets state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake, and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested.
