Job summary

Essentia Health in Superior, WI, seeks staff to assist RNs and physicians and provide direct patient care in ambulatory care to support our mission and goals. You will perform procedures within your demonstrated competencies and care for patients from newborn to elderly in a day-shift ambulatory setting.

The position follows a 48-hour work pattern every two weeks with 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) and no weekend work. Licensure options include MA or LPN with BCLS requirements as outlined.

Qualifications

• Education as required for licensure.
• Medical Assistant: current registration or certification or completion of MA program with certification within one year of hire (pass certification within two attempts).
• LPN: current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Wisconsin.
• MA+LPN: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified or obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in ambulatory care.
• Performs identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
