Job summary

Essentia Health’s Cardiology team in Brainerd/Baxter, MN seeks an LPN/CMA to provide direct patient care in ambulatory settings within the Cardiac Team. You will measure vital signs, document histories, and help coordinate follow-up care with physicians and staff.

The role supports a day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM), 40 hours/week, with no weekend requirement. Licensure as an LPN in MN and active MA certification are required or can be obtained within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in the relevant state.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or eligibility.
• BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Completion of a MA program; certification within one year of hire (two attempts max).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vital signs and patient assessments to support diagnosis and monitoring.
• Coordinate care with physicians, PAs, and other providers to develop care plans.
• Handle initial patient intake and prepare patients for exams or testing.
