Job summary

Essentia Health’s Park Rapids Clinic is hiring an LPN or CMA to provide direct patient care in ambulatory family practice. The role supports RN and physicians, performing procedures with demonstrated competency, serving patients from newborns to the elderly.

Typical schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a flexible 0.6 FTE; no holiday or on-call rotations are required. Licensure and BCLS are required within specified timeframes, and CMA certification within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure with Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
• CMA: current registration or certification or completed CMA program; must become certified within one year of hire.
• Must pass CMA certification within two attempts.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, physician and other providers; provide direct patient care in ambulatory setting.
• Perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Care for patients from newborn to elderly according to age-related category.
