Job summary

Midwest Health Inc is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician. This role works under supervision to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance with state regulations and community policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining the medication cart, documenting administration, and protecting resident privacy while following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA (Certified Medication Aide) certification in good standing with the state.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering medications as ordered by attending physician and under supervision guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medication cart and room according to policies and procedures.
• Document medication administration and report any errors immediately.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled, stored, and dated per policy.
• Document and report resident refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Follow patient privacy and safety protocols; verify resident identity before administering medications.
