Job summary

My Access Medical Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support nurses and staff by preparing charts, pulling notes, and assisting with tests and lab reporting to ensure timely care. You will also manage inventory, set up equipment, and clean instruments.

The CMA handles vital signs, phlebotomy, minor procedures, point-of-care testing, and patient education while upholding HIPAA and exceptional customer service. Travel within the region may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CMA certification preferred and must remain active.
• BLS certification on hire and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts/notes and setting up equipment.
• Monitor and record vital signs and medical history.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Assist with minor clinical procedures.
• Conduct point-of-care testing.
• Administer medications and vaccinations.
• Gauge patient's overall health status.
• Provide health education to patients and families.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
