Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Cancer and Hematology clinic on a full-time days shift in Athens, Tennessee. The CMA will perform clinical and administrative duties to support a patient-centered practice and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification. Associate's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA through AAMA or NHA required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physician or nurse with patient assessments, treatments, and clinical procedures
• Performing basic diagnostic and specimen collection.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition
• Accurately documents patient care
• Ensures exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies are clean, stocked, and function appropriately
• Supporting administrative functions such as scheduling, reception, registration, filing and data entry as needed
