Job summary

Hardin Valley Internal Medicine, a division of Summit Medical Group, has an opening for a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join a growing team. This is a full-time, on-site position with Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The role involves triaging calls, handling referrals, coordinating test results, scheduling, and maintaining clean exam rooms while adhering to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant Certification.
• Clinical experience required.
• On-site, full-time position with standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Handles phone nursing, triaging, pre-certifications, referrals, and prescription calls.
• Performs clerical duties to support provider visits, including contacting patients about test results.
• Pulls and prepares patient records for physicians to treat patients as needed.
• Schedules patient appointments with efficient use of clinical time slots.
• Maintains stocked, neat exam rooms and common work areas daily.
• Adheres to company policies and HIPAA/OSHA regulations.
• Follows site-specific protocols and expectations.
• Maintains confidentiality with Summit employees and patients.
• Participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.
• Contributes to ongoing evaluation of site performance and improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
