Job summary

Harborview Health Systems’ Brentwood Health Center in Waynesboro, GA is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA). You will provide direct patient care under RN or LPN supervision, assist with medication administration, daily living activities, and monitoring of vital signs, while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

This role requires a state-approved CNA program, CNA and Medication Aide certifications, CPR, and at least 1 year of healthcare experience or 2 years as a

• Must complete a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing.
• Active Medication Aide Certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN/LP supervision.
• Assist in administering medications to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, BP).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, supportive environment.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and families.
• Assist in documenting care and reporting changes to nursing staff.
• Support care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionateCertified Medication Aide (CMA)to join our team.

What You Will Do

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

• Assist in the administering of medication to residents

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure

• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques

• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment

• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families

• Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff

• Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans

What You Must Have

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

• ActiveCNA certificationin good standing

• ActiveMedication Aide Certificationin good standing

• Minimum of 1 year of health care industry experience or 2 years' experience as a medication aide.

• Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology

• Current CPR Certification

• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely
