Job summary

Harborview Health Systems is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join the team in Georgia. The role involves direct patient care under supervision, assisting with medication administration, and supporting daily living activities.

The CMA must have CNA and Medication Aide certifications, CPR, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year in healthcare or 2 years as a medication aide. Floor coverage and compassionate care provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Active CNA certification in good standing.
  • Active Medication Aide certification in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year health care industry experience or 2 years as a medication aide.
  • Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Physical ability to lift and move residents safely.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
  • Assist in administering medication to residents.
  • Assist with activities of daily living.
  • Monitor and record vital signs.
  • Assist with mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship.
  • Document care and report changes to nursing staff.
  • Support care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionateCertified Medication Aide (CMA)to join our team.

What You Will Do

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Assist in the administering of medication to residents

  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure

  • Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment

  • Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families

  • Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff

  • Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans

What You Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

  • ActiveCNA certificationin good standing

  • ActiveMedication Aide certificationin good standing

  • Minimum of 1 year of health care industry experience or 2 years' experience as a medication aide.

  • Good understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology

  • Current CPR Certification

  • Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely
