Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing.
• Active Medication Aide Certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year health care industry experience or 2 years as a medication aide.
• Good understanding of medical terminology and CPR certification.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN or LPN supervision.
• Assist in administering medications to residents.
• Help with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, and BP.
• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and families.
• Document care and report condition changes to nursing staff.
• Support care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
