Job summary

Apploi, a faith-based organization in Augusta, GA, is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our compassionate care team. You will provide direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and assist with administering medications to residents.

This role emphasizes safety, dignity, and personalized care; responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, aiding daily living activities, documenting care, and collaborating on individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience or 2 years as a medication aide.
• Current CPR certification.
• Physical ability to lift, move and assist residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Assist in the administering of medication to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families.
• Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
