Job summary

Apploi is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our care team in a faith-based organization focused on resident well-being. The CMA will provide direct patient care, assist with medication administration, and support daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision.

The role requires CNA training and state certification, with a minimum of 1 year healthcare experience or 2 years as a medication aide, CPR certification, and strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing is required.
• Active Medication Aide certification in good standing is required.
• Minimum of 1 year health care experience or 2 years as a medication aide is required.
• Good understanding of medical terminology.
• Current CPR certification.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN or LPN.
• Assist in administering medication to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding).
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, BP).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, supportive environment.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and families.
• Document care and report changes to nursing staff.
• Support care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.

The Opportunity

What You Will Do

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

• Assist in the administering of medication to residents

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure

• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques

• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment

• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families

• Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff

• Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans

What You Must Have

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
