Job summary

Godshall Recruiting is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant in Greenville, SC to support providers and ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced clinic. You will be responsible for preparing charts, rooming patients, taking histories and vitals, and updating the EHR with accurate information.

The role includes assisting providers during exams, administering immunizations, collecting specimens, coordinating tests and referrals, and supporting overall clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• AED and Bloodborne Pathogen training required.
• Experience administering injections, obtaining vital signs, performing venipuncture, and supporting direct patient care activities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills with diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary records, test results, and documentation are available prior to appointments.
• Room patients, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and update medication and allergy information within the EHR.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and other direct patient care activities.
• Administer immunizations and prescribed injectable medications while adhering to established clinical protocols.
• Collect blood and other specimens, prepare laboratory samples, and coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Support day-to-day clinic operations, including patient calls, prescription requests, prior authorizations, documentation, supply management, and maintaining clean exam rooms.
