Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Danbury, CT is seeking an Engineering Documentation Specialist to develop, establish, and maintain data management and configuration management documentation in compliance with program, contract, internal, and ISO requirements.

You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Configuration Management systems and processes while upholding high standards of quality, accuracy, and process adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and process

• Experience with MS Office and knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence
• Knowledge of CM requirements, specs, and standards (military and commercial)
• Familiarity with PLM tools (Omnify/Empower, Arena, Windchill) and controls of parts/BOM/drawings
• Understanding of engineering change and revision control, ISO and CMMI practices, ERP concepts (CostPoint, SAP, Oracle)

Responsibilities

• Execute Configuration Management processes for hardware and software development programs.
• Review and process Item Masters, Bills of Material, ECNs and drawings with focus on accuracy and revision control.
• Analyze proposed engineering changes against CM checklists and support Change Control Board activities.
• Prepare and assemble technical data packages, supplier/drawing packages, submittals and reports.
• Review, process, and maintain test data per internal procedures.
• Provide end-user support for PLM tools (Empower and Windchill).
• Collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure quality and on-time program execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve CM processes, tools, and workflows.
