Responsibilities

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:
Central Market is seeking a Production Specialist with availability to include days, evenings, and weekends to handle the freshest quality ingredients. Production Specialists work under direct supervision. They will apply basic and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment appropriate to their area of specialization. They will accept responsibility for achieving goals/objectives. Use of specialized subject matter knowledge required.

Duties of this position may include:

1. Include mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping and stocking of products
2. Ensures quality control of all product before sending to sales floor
3. Maintains sanitation in the department
4. Maintains organization of back storage, freezer, walk-in and production area
5. Reads and executes daily production list
6. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weights, discounts, percentages and volumes
7. Provides customer service as required such as answering questions, taking orders on the phone
8. Assists in monitoring the quality of goods and monitors shrink
9. Orders and receives products and supplies
10. Maintains transfer records
11. Preps, wraps, prices, sells, and stocks products continuously
12. Demos, or prepares customer samples for self-serve
13. Provides superlative customer service
14. Uses suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales

Requirements:

1. Demonstrates and shares expertise about food
2. Experience with commercial production preferred
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4. Ability to handle stressful situations
5. Ability to coach other Partners
6. Good verbal and written communication skills
7. Lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.) Bend, reach, push, and pull.
8. Ability to work overnight and flexible schedules (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
9. Ability to inform customers about ingredients
