Responsibilities

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:

• Stock and sell products to new and existing retail customers.
• Order products to maximize sales.
• Merchandise, front, and sell products following detailed instructions.
• Work under supervision, applying basic skills relevant to the department.
• Possess specific product knowledge depending on the department.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Providing excellent customer service.
• Organizing, cleaning, and preparing the back area for deliveries.
• Keeping the sales floor tidy and safe.
• Stocking and rotating items to ensure freshness.
• Resetting products and maintaining shelf conditions, including signage and tags.
• Checking shipments for out-of-date or damaged products to ensure quality.
• Complying with federal, state, and company regulations on product safety and sanitation.
• Maintaining standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control.
• Assisting in merchandising to maximize sales.
• Using suggestive selling techniques to enhance sales.

Experience and Education (Preferred)

• 0-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of department products, food preparation, and equipment is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of specialty foods and food prep.
• Strong customer service skills and passion for food.
• Materials handling certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to manage materials weighing 25-50 lbs.
