Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Club Softball Program Coach to design and lead the athletic program for Fall and Spring semesters. You will recruit and mentor staff, develop training plans, and coordinate schedules with the Athletic Director to ensure a high‑performing team.

The role requires coordinating with students, maintaining registrations and medical info, and promoting safety and compliance within the program and university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Experience coaching and developing athletes with varying skill levels and goals.
• Experience planning and implementing training plans and competition protocols.
• Experience managing and coordinating an athletic program.
• Valid First Aid certificate (Basic First Aid with CPR/C/AED).
• Knowledge of current sports training technologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and social media.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements a Softball program to develop athletes; establishes goals, structure and direction for the program.
• Recruits, hires, orients, supervises, and mentors the assistant coach.
• Develops a 3-year program plan with the Athletic Director and implements it.
• Coaches all members of the Club Softball Program for Fall and Spring semesters.
• Establishes training plans and athlete monitoring protocols; coordinates with the assistant coach.
• Organizes registration, contact and medical information; arranges game schedules.
