High Point University is seeking a collaborative Head Coach for the HPU Club Esports program to assist in leading, coordinating and developing competitive teams in line with the university’s vision, mission and values. This role supports the Head Coach and helps create an environment that nurtures students as athletes and community members.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience coaching and working with students with diverse skills and goals.
• Certified as necessary; validity of First Aid with CPR/C AED where required.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to plan and implement training and competition protocols.
• Experience coordinating and managing program activities.

Responsibilities

• Club Program Management and Development: designs and implements an Esports program to develop players; works with the Athletic Director on a 3-year plan.
• Coaching and Athlete Development: coaches all members; establishes training plans; recruits athletes; maintains records and schedules.
• Communication: disseminates information with the athletic department; publicizes timelines on website and social media.
• Equipment: coordinates equipment needs with the Athletic Director and Head Coach.
