Job summary

Valleybrook Country Club in Blackwood, NJ is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Staff member to join our team on a part-time basis. You will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure smooth kitchen operation during golf events and banquets.

Must be 18+, neat, and able to lift up to 20 lbs. We offer staff meals, employee discounts, and growth opportunities in a vibrant country club environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be neat and present a professional appearance.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Employee must be able to lift/handle up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Work extended hours during golf and holiday season.
• Work weekends and holidays.
• Culinary/restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry. Measure ingredients and help assemble basic dishes or plate meals.
• Cleanliness & Sanitation: Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Wipe down counters, clean food prep surfaces, sweep, and mop floors.
• Waste Disposal: Empty garbage bins, take trash to dumpsters, and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Stock & Inventory: Unpack food deliveries, rotate stock, check expiration dates, and restock workstations with necessary supplies.
• Safety Compliance: Follow local health codes, food safety guidelines, and proper sanitation procedures.
• To assist in preparing and presenting all menu items in a professional manner as to maintain the high standards of quality set forth.
• To follow policies and schedules for the operation in the kitchen facility.
• At all times, present a favorable image.
