Job summary

Valleybrook Country Club in Blackwood, NJ is seeking a part-time House Person to maintain clubhouse cleanliness and operations. The role covers cleaning locker rooms, clubhouse interiors, and supporting event setup while ensuring safe, organized spaces.

The position offers hourly pay range $18.00–$20.00, flexible 20–30 hours per week, and opportunities for growth within the hospitality team. High School diploma or GED preferred; prior custodial experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and furnish all locker rooms including toilets, urinals, paper products, walls, dividers and vanities.
• Clean all areas of the clubhouse including furniture, windows, floors, bathrooms, patio, walls and outdoor furniture.
• Assist with inventory control and security.
• Launder locker room towels and kitchen towels/aprons.
• Empty trash and maintain indoor and outdoor cleanliness.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for events.
• Maintain exterior of the clubhouse and parking areas.
• Clean HVAC vents and interior vents; perform deep-cleaning projects.

Job Details: Job Location: Valleybrook Country Club - Blackwood, NJ 08012, Position Type: Part Time, Education Level: None, Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly, Job Category: Cleaning, Valleybrook Country Club is currently looking for a House Person to ensure that all of our cleaning and maintenance needs are met. In this position, you'll manage all aspects of keeping the Club House sparkling before and after events.

Job Tasks/Duties

• Clean and furnish all locker rooms including but not limited to: Cleaning toilets and urinals, filling all paper products and soaps, wiping down walls, dividing walls and vanities
• Clean all areas of the clubhouse including but not limited to : furniture, windows, floors, bathrooms, outside patio, walls, outside furniture
• Assists with inventory control and security
• Laundry locker room towels and kitchen towels / aprons
• Empty trash cans and take trash to the dumpster
• Ensure all indoor and outdoor spaces are cleaned and organized.
• Moves furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis
• Maintains outside of clubhouse building (i.e., cleans and shovels steps, walkways, patios, and entrances)
• Maintains parking lot appearance and cleanliness
• Cleans exterior of HVAC vents
• Clean interior vents and HVAC registers
• Conducts deep-cleaning projects
• Assists with tables, chairs and other furniture needed for special events
• Cleans cigarette containers at entrances
• Transports linen to and from the linen or laundry room
• Attends departmental staff meetings and safety meetings
• Completes other appropriate assignments made by the management team

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing pulling, bending, stooping and climbing
• Use ladders when required
• Use power washer when required
• Job has the potential to expose the employee to human blood or infectious materials
• Position is part-time (20-30 weekly hours), flexible schedule

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year of comparable custodial work preferred
