Worldwide Golf Shops LLC in Rockville, MD is seeking a Club Fitter to promote a customer-first store culture and deliver a memorable fitting experience using launch monitor data.

You will evaluate customers’ needs, recommend golf clubs, educate on products, and assist with inventory and merchandising while working a flexible schedule and earning base pay plus commission.

Qualifications

• Golf knowledge/background is required.
• 1+ years of club fitting experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work varied hours.

Job Description

The Club Fitter at Golfdom is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy, which has made Worldwide Golf what it is today. “Sure No Problem” means putting the customer first, and doing whatever we can to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience.

• Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements being flexible and knowledgeable able to work with specified vendors.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf club features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf clubs for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during golf club fitting process.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisitioning merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
• Assist with vendor’s floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf and vendor’s standards.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

The expected pay for this position is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour, which includes a commission rate based on department and product. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
