Job summary

Worldwide Golf is seeking a part-time Golf Sales Associate at Golfdom in Rockville, MD. You will promote a store culture aligned with the brand and help customers choose the right golf equipment, using knowledge of products and promotions.

The role offers flexible scheduling, base pay plus commission, 401(k) matching, employee discounts, and hands-on training. You will work with launch monitors and simulators, assist with merchandising, and contribute to excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Golf knowledge/background is required.
• Experience working in the golf industry is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of golf product knowledge, promotions, and demo merchandise.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Golf Sales Associate at Golfdom is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in‑store experience

Requirements

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Golf Sales PT: The expected pay for this position is $24.00 - $30.00 per hour, which includes a commission rate based on department and product. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
