Job summary

Southworth in Aldie, VA is seeking a bartender to deliver exceptional dining experiences to members and guests. You will craft cocktails, deliver great service, and maintain a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The role requires experience in high-volume settings, knowledge of mixology, the ability to multitask, and compliance with responsible alcohol service. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience bartending in a high-volume establishment or similar setting.
• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests.
• Strong customer-service orientation and guest satisfaction focus.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS) is preferred.
• Knowledge of wine and spirits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Previous bartending experience in a high-end restaurant, upscale bar, or hospitality setting.
• In-depth knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails and contemporary trends.
• Strong mixology techniques and ability to craft visually appealing drinks.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and composure in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail in processing orders and handling payments.
• Familiarity with responsible alcohol service regulations and the legal drinking age.
• Strong communication skills for interactions with customers and team members.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in bartending is a plus.
