Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adhere to liquor laws and regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
2. Set up the bar, stock all necessary supplies including beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, and glassware.
3. Maintain fresh fruit, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
4. Greet guests courteously.
5. Take and process drink orders, mix and garnish drinks, and practice portion control.
6. Check IDs for guests.
7. Detect guest intoxication and act accordingly, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
8. Handle cash, verify charges, and record transactions accurately.
9. Secure all beverage and cash assets properly.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
11. Arrange bottles and glasses attractively.
12. Wash and sterilize stemware.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
