Description

Bethany Athletic Club, a premier athletic club in Portland’s west side, seeks a Club Attendant to join the team! The successful candidate will be responsible for professionally maintaining locker rooms, exercise rooms, and other areas in the facility, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and welcoming for members and guests. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional member experience by providing a consistently clean and comfortable environment throughout the club.

All shifts available – evenings and weekends needed!

Part-time and full-time opportunities available

Pay: $16.75 - $17.25 per hour

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure and maintain proper cleanliness, stocking, and organization of locker rooms and other designated areas
  • Provide outstanding customer service to club members at all times
  • Perform all opening, mid-shift, and closing responsibilities as outlined in the club attendant checklist
  • Practice safe work habits and follow all safety procedures
  • Maintain inventory of towels, paper products, and locker room supplies
  • Promptly report any maintenance or equipment issues to management
  • Clean and disinfect throughout the day as needed (e.g., mopping, refilling supplies, picking up towels)
  • Promote a friendly and comfortable atmosphere throughout the club
  • Assist with re-racking weights, replenishing drinking cups, and refreshing towels in other areas when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or management
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or current enrollment in high school
  • Strong attention to detail, high energy, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • First Aid certification required; CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and occasionally up to 100 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical cleaning duties for extended periods
Qualifications

Language Requirement: All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smartphone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Effective communication with clients, coworkers, and management is also required.
