The Role

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a dedicated Counter Attendant at our Splash poolside snack bar to join our team. If you're enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and thrive in a customer-focused setting, we want to hear from you! This role involves preparing and serving food and beverages to members and guests promptly and with a smile. You'll be a key player in ensuring smooth operations by maintaining clear communication with team members and other departments.

This is a seasonal, part-time, fully on-site position at our club in Portland, OR.

What You’ll Do

• Customer Service: Deliver enthusiastic, prompt, and positive service to all members, guests, and employees.
• Stock Replenishment: Regularly replenish stock items as needed.
• Cleaning Duties: Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks as directed by your team lead, supervisor, or manager.
• Transaction Handling: Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions efficiently.
• Sanitation: Practice proper sanitation and food handling procedures at all times.
• Daily Operations: Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s and OLCC (18 and older only) card mandatory.
• Experience: Prior experience in a similar environment (coffee shop, sandwich shop) preferred.Menu Knowledge: Strong understanding of the menu to answer questions from members or guests.
• Customer Service: Excellent customer service and decision-making skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, members, and employees.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to, lifting over 20 lbs., able to remain in a stationary position 50%-100% of the shift, and move about the area 50%-100% of the shift.
