Job summary

EP!C is seeking a Support Services Director to lead direct care coordination, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Staff Supervision
  • In conjunction with the HR department, interview, hire, supervise, assign, evaluate the performance of, and when necessary, discharge assigned personnel directly and in cooperation with appropriate department heads.
Program/Department Development, and Coordination
  • To conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.
  • Coordinate and monitor functions of each area of facilities to ensure an efficient operation of the facility.
  • Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of building, grounds, and vehicle (if used).
  • Meets all deadlines set by the agency and outside resources.
  • Work with Benefits Coordinator.
  • Complete monthly summaries and ensure all documentation is completed to meet clinical and financial requirements.
  • Maintain files and data entry according to the standards set by the agency.
  • Provide support to and work with all team and agency members.
  • Develop personal plans for all people on caseload, including coordinating and facilitating ISP annual, along with other meetings as appropriate.
  • Train all aspects of clinical responsibilities, including incident reports, ISP, monthly summaries, drill sign off and other clinical tasks.
  • Train staff in Positive Behavior Approaches related to the person.
  • Develop behavior plan for individuals who require behavioral support.
  • Participate in the Behavioral Management and Human Rights Committees as needed.
  • Maintain positive parent and guardian relations for individuals on the team.
  • Promote community-based learning for individuals.
  • Understand rules governing program/licensure for community day services.
  • Support database management systems.
  • Complete QIDP training per DHS regulations.
Fiscal Management
  • Monitor inventories and purchasing systems. Review purchasing inventories and reconcile with current invoices.
  • Complete and follow accounting and payroll procedures in a timely manner.
Marginal Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • As a mandated reporter ensures all allegations, abuse, and neglect are reported as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Human Services or education and two years' supervisory experience required.
  • Supervisory experience is essential.
  • One year experience with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
