Job summary

Beatrice Community Hospital in Beatrice, NE, seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time night shift (8pm–6am). You will perform phlebotomy, testing, specimen handling, QC/QA, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and contribute to developing new instruments and tests.

Weekend, evening and holiday rotations are required. Candidates should hold AS or BS in CLS/MLT or equivalent, with board certification or eligibility, and 1 year

Qualifications

• Must have AS or BS in CLS/Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Board certification by CLS/MT or eligible.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, testing and specimen storage/retrieval.
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities.
• Handle proficiency testing and instrument maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instruments and tests; contribute to R&D of new instruments.
• Participate in weekend, evening and holiday rotation.

Job Duties: Performs all laboratory services with specific accountabilities in the following functions: phlebotomy, testing, specimen and result storage and retrieval, quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and research and development of new instruments and tests. Participates in weekend, evening and holiday rotation.

Qualifications: Associates of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science - Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science - Medical Technology or equivalent and has successfully completed and passed the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) Boards. ASCP (or equivalent) or eligible. 1 year experience preferred.

Shift Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 8pm-6am
