Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a laboratory science or medical technology per CLIA 42CFR493.1489.
• Education evaluated as equivalent to a US Bachelor’s degree.
• Meets the educational requirements of an MLT-II.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations within the designated section.
• Organize planning, directing, evaluating, and providing oversight for operations.
• Provide leadership and administrative support to laboratory staff.
• Ensure standards align with CHRISTUS Health Mission and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with hospital administration to meet departmental goals.
• Promote process improvement and cost-effective services for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Support CHRISTUS Health by handling other mutually agreed responsibilities.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology

Education evaluated as equivalent to US Bachelor’s degree

Meets the educational requirements of a Medical Laboratory Technician II (MLT-II)
