Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Laboratory General Supervisor to oversee daily operations of assigned sections and shifts, under the Laboratory Director/Manager. You will develop and implement procedures, quality control, and staff competencies.

You will ensure compliance with CLIA, TJC, CAP, and other agencies, supervise testing personnel, manage performance reviews, assist in budget planning, and drive quality improvements to deliver accurate patient results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
• Active certification or eligibility for MT/CLS/MLS/AMT/NCA/ASCP/etc.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily test performance for assigned sections and shifts.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, TJC, CAP and other regulatory entities.
• Develop and maintain procedural manuals and QC programs.
• Monitor performance and provide personnel coaching and performance reviews.
• Assist in budgeting, inventory, and scheduling.
• Train staff on procedures and maintain competency.
