Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Generalist) to deliver accurate and timely test results across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank. You will ensure quality standards, troubleshoot instrumentation, and support patient care through precise laboratory testing.

This full-time on-site role requires a California CLS license and a Bachelor's degree, weekend/holiday rotation, occasional shift

Qualifications

• Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Occasional alternate schedule (e.g. Tue-Sat, 11:00pm-7:30am) based on operational needs.
• Must pass Ishihara Color Vision exam (color differentiation).

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of moderate and high-complexity tests across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.
• Ensure quality standards, troubleshoot instrumentation, and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support diagnostic and treatment decisions.
