Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrated technical competence in high-volume chemistry/hematology.
• Working knowledge of lab safety, basic lab skills (pipetting, dilutions, specimen integrity), and test methodologies.
• Proficiency in practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions for making reagents and calculations.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as pipetting and computer data entry.
• Two years of recent experience in a high-volume laboratory setting - preferred.
• Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunoassay, and blood gases.
• Contribute to method development and continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments; perform quality control and reagent preparation.
• Accurately enter data and ensure traceability of results.
• Support high-volume laboratory operations in rotating shifts as required.
