Job summary

Amazon's CloudFront Infrastructure Service is hiring a Software Development Engineer to design scalable systems for a global edge platform. You will lead architecture decisions, guide teammates, and contribute production code for critical features and resilience.

Expect to work in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment with high engineering standards, coding across multiple languages, and a focus on reliable, low-latency delivery for trillions of requests daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years in design or architecture of large systems.
• 1+ year of software development engineering experience.
• Experience with multi-tiered, distributed software using C#, C++, Java or Perl.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• Experience programming in at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable CloudFront infrastructure from the ground up or enhance existing systems.
• Drive architectural decisions impacting millions of global users.
• Provide hands-on coaching and knowledge sharing to the team.
• Write production code for critical features and infrastructure improvements.
