Job summary

COOLSOFT is seeking a Cloudflare Consultant to assess, optimize, and strengthen our Cloudflare environment in New York. You will quickly understand current configuration, identify improvement opportunities, and help establish secure, reliable, and well-documented practices across the platform.

The role requires deep hands-on Cloudflare expertise, ability to translate findings into prioritized recommendations, and a knack for creating clear runbooks and documentation to empower the internal team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Cloudflare in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Cloudflare DNS, CDN and cache behavior, WAF, firewall rules, page rules, redirects, routing, SSL/TLS certificates, Workers, analytics, logs, and edge delivery.
• Experience translating findings into prioritized, actionable recommendations.
• Ability to create runbooks and documentation for ongoing support.
• Mentor teammates on Cloudflare concepts and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and optimize Cloudflare environments, identifying risks, performance gaps and security concerns.
• Develop a prioritized roadmap balancing impact, effort, risk, and maintainability.
• Review Cloudflare configuration to improve reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot Cloudflare performance, memory usage, latency, cache misses, and routing issues.
• Create clear documentation and runbooks for ongoing support and governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
